The MikroTik hEX S is a compact and affordable five-port Gigabit Ethernet router, ideal for environments where wireless connectivity is not required. Building on the features of the hEX, the hEX S adds an SFP port for fiber connections and PoE output on Ethernet port #5, capable of powering passive PoE devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. Powered by a dual-core 880MHz CPU and 256MB RAM, the hEX S supports advanced RouterOS configurations, IPsec hardware encryption (up to 470 Mbps), and The Dude server package. Its USB 2.0 port and microSD slot provide enhanced file storage capabilities and support for network management tools. With its robust feature set and efficient design, the hEX S is perfect for managing small office and home networks with demanding requirements.
