MikroTik's own recommendation: add two HGO-antenna-OUT antennas to a NetMetal ac², and you have a capable dual-band outdoor AP ready to deploy.

The dual-band gain profile is designed to match how outdoor wireless deployments actually work. On 2.4 GHz — the longer-range, better-penetration band used for coverage extension, IoT devices, and legacy clients — the HGO-antenna-OUT provides 3.3 dBi of gain: a modest, clean improvement over a basic dipole that extends useful range without aggressive beam narrowing. On 5 GHz — the higher-throughput band used for video streaming, high-speed data clients, and backhaul — gain rises to 5.5–7.1 dBi across the 5 GHz sub-band range, concentrating signal more tightly and delivering higher effective radiated power to clients where throughput matters most.

The RP-SMA male connector is the universal interface for MikroTik outdoor wireless products with RP-SMA female ports. Screw-on installation requires no tools and no crimping — attach, tighten hand-tight, done. The outdoor construction handles the weather conditions that permanent outdoor AP deployments encounter.
