The hAP ac³ (RBD53iG-5HacD2HnD) is the third generation of MikroTik's popular hAP ac home access point series, refining the formula with stronger antennas, a higher-capacity CPU, and a cleaner enclosure. The Qualcomm IPQ-4019 system-on-chip serves as both the processor and the switch chip, running four ARM 32-bit cores at a dynamically scaled frequency of 448–896 MHz. With 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of NAND storage, it provides enough resources for complex RouterOS configurations without breaking the budget.

The wireless side delivers AC1200 aggregate speeds across its two radios. The 5 GHz 802.11a/n/ac (Wi-Fi 5) radio handles up to 867 Mbps with two chains and 5.5 dBi of antenna gain, while the 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n (Wi-Fi 4) radio delivers up to 300 Mbps with two chains and 3 dBi of antenna gain. Both radios use the Qualcomm IPQ-4019 chip. The included HGO indoor antenna kit enhances signal reach and helps overcome coverage dead spots in larger homes or multi-room environments where a fixed internal antenna would fall short.

Wired connectivity consists of five 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports for full-speed LAN and WAN connections. Ether5 doubles as a passive PoE output (up to 0.5 A), allowing a low-power device such as a MikroTik wireless access point or IP camera to be powered directly from the router without a separate adapter. The router itself can be powered either via its DC jack (12–28 V) or via passive PoE-in on the WAN port (18–28 V). Maximum power consumption is 30 W under full load, with only 12 W consumed without PoE devices attached. Cooling is entirely passive.

A USB Type-A port (1 A max) with USB power reset is provided for storage or 3G/4G modem connectivity. A mode button is included for resets and configuration shortcuts. The device ships with a 24 V 1.5 A power adapter, base leg for desktop standing, K-47 wall mount set, and the HGO indoor antenna kit for flexible installation. IP20 rated for indoor use, with an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C. Certifications include CE, FCC, IC, EAC, and RoHS.
