The SYNOXX EDQD400-1-PAM4 is a 400G QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD passive direct attach
copper (DAC) cable delivering 400Gbps via 8×50G PAM4 lanes over a 1-metre passive
twinax connection — the same-rack 400G interconnect for QSFP-DD-equipped spine
switches, 400G AI/ML cluster fabric, and high-density HPC environments requiring
cost-effective passive copper at the highest current Ethernet and InfiniBand speed
tier. Compliant with IEEE 802.3cd and InfiniBand HDR standards, featuring a
QSFP-DD interface, I2C management for cable identification, low insertion loss,
low crosstalk, and operation from 0°C to 70°C. Hot-pluggable, RoHS compliant,
and IC Certified.

The SYNOXX EDQD400-1-PAM4 is a 400G QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD passive direct attach copper (DAC) cable delivering 400Gbps over a 1-metre connection using 8×50G PAM4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation 4-level) signaling — the highest-speed passive copper interconnect in the SYNOXX DAC portfolio. Unlike previous-generation 100G QSFP28 DAC cables that use NRZ modulation across 4×25G lanes, the EDQD400-1-PAM4 uses PAM4 modulation to transmit 50Gbps per lane across 8 lanes simultaneously over the QSFP-DD (Double Density) interface, enabling 400Gbps aggregate throughput in a single passive copper cable without active components, optical transceivers, or additional power draw.
Compliant with IEEE 802.3cd and InfiniBand HDR standards, the EDQD400-1-PAM4 supports I2C management for cable identification and features low insertion loss, low crosstalk, and optimized shielding for reliable 400G PAM4 signal integrity across the full 1m passive copper run. Hot-pluggable in the QSFP-DD form factor, it delivers compatibility across all QSFP-DD-equipped 400G Ethernet switching platforms and InfiniBand HDR fabric equipment.
