The SYNOXX EDQPY-5-26 is a 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 passive direct attach copper
(DAC) cable delivering 100Gbps over a 5-metre 26AWG twinax connection — purpose-built
for extended-rack and cross-row 100G deployments where 1m and 3m cables fall short,
including end-of-row switch connections, long cable tray runs, and flexible spine-to-leaf
links requiring extra reach on the passive copper budget. Based on a 4×25G architecture,
compliant with SFF-8636 and IEEE 802.3bj, with a two-wire I2C interface for monitoring
and control, low power consumption, and low crosstalk across the full 5m run.

The SYNOXX EDQPY-5-26 is a 100G QSFP28 to QSFP28 passive direct attach copper (DAC) cable delivering 100Gbps over a 5-metre twinax connection — the extended-reach member of the EDQPY DAC family for deployments where 1m and 3m cables cannot bridge the distance between switch ports and connected devices. Built on 26AWG twinax cable, the EDQPY-5-26 provides enhanced signal integrity at the 5m distance class compared to finer AWG gauges, making it the appropriate choice for end-of-row switch-to-server connections, long overhead cable tray runs, and any 100G passive copper application requiring reach beyond the adjacent-rack class.
Based on a 4×25G architecture, the EDQPY-5-26 complies with SFF-8636 and supports IEEE 802.3bj Ethernet standards, with a two-wire I2C interface for monitoring and control. Fully passive with no active components, it delivers inherently lower latency and lower power consumption than active optical alternatives at this distance. Hot-pluggable in the standard QSFP28 form factor, it maintains full compatibility across all QSFP28-equipped 100G switches, routers, and servers.
