The SYNOXX EDSP5X-3 is a 56G SFP56 to SFP56 passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable designed for high-speed short-distance network connections. Supporting data rates up to 56 Gbps over a 3-metre twinax copper cable, it is ideal for server-to-switch, storage, leaf-to-server, and adjacent-rack connections. The cable uses PAM4 signaling, supports hot-pluggable SFP56 interfaces, and provides a low-power, low-latency, cost-effective alternative to optical transceivers for short-reach 56G Ethernet deployments.

The SYNOXX EDSP5X-3 is a 56G SFP56 to SFP56 passive Direct Attach Copper cable designed for high-performance short-reach networking applications.
Supporting data rates of up to 56 Gbps, the EDSP5X-3 uses PAM4 signaling to provide high-speed connectivity between compatible SFP56-equipped switches, servers, storage systems, and other networking hardware.
The 3-metre version uses 26 AWG twinax copper cable and is suitable for adjacent-rack connections, server-to-switch links, storage networking, and high-density data center environments where additional cable reach is required.
Because the cable is fully passive, it does not require active optical components, helping reduce overall system power consumption, cost, and complexity. The manufacturer describes the design as optimized for signal integrity, low EMI, and low total system power.
The EDSP5X series is compatible with IEEE 802.3bj, IEEE 802.3cd, SFF-8402, and SFF-8432, and supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It is also RoHS and REACH compliant.
