The SYNOXX EDSPX-5-24 is a 10G SFP+ to SFP+ passive direct attach copper (DAC) cable delivering 10Gbps transmission — and backward-compatible 1Gbps — over a 5-metre 24AWG twinax connection. The longest-reach member of the EDSPX passive DAC family, the EDSPX-5-24 bridges extended rack-to-rack distances that 1m and 3m cables cannot serve: end-of-row switch-to-server connections, overhead cable tray runs spanning multiple rack units, and cross-row 10G fabric links in high-density environments. Built on 24AWG twinax cable — the thickest gauge in the EDSPX series — it delivers enhanced signal integrity and lower attenuation across the full 5m passive copper run compared to finer AWG gauges used at shorter lengths.

Compliant with SFP+ MSA, SFF-8431, and SFF-8432 standards, the EDSPX-5-24 consumes less than 0.2W per end — fully passive with no active components, delivering inherently lower latency than active optical alternatives at this distance class. Hot-pluggable in the standard SFP+ form factor, it is compatible with all SFP+ and SFP-equipped 10G and 1G networking hardware and supports both Ethernet and Fibre Channel applications.
