The MikroTik TG-LR92 is a configurable LoRaWAN sensor tag designed for demanding IoT deployments where reliable environmental and event monitoring is needed. It can monitor temperature, humidity, motion, tilt, impact, free-fall events, orientation, door or lid activity, and other operational conditions.

The TG-LR92 combines multiple sensors with local data processing, intelligent event rules, and flexible reporting profiles in one compact device. It is designed to collect useful data and help businesses make better operational decisions across long distances.

This model is the 902–928 MHz version for the US915 LoRa region. It also supports 2.4 GHz LoRa, which can be useful for global deployments where regional sub-GHz frequency rules may be different. For 863–870 MHz deployments, use the TG-LR82 version instead.

The TG-LR92 is especially useful for temperature-sensitive goods and environments. It uses a NIST traceable TMP116N temperature sensor with typical accuracy of ±0.2°C. The device can generate temperature and humidity averages or histograms before sending telemetry, helping reduce network traffic while still keeping valuable environmental data.

It also supports configurable profiles and event-based rules. For example, the device can send telemetry every 6 hours during normal operation, then automatically switch to faster updates when a door opens or another event is triggered. This makes it suitable for cold-chain monitoring, storage facilities, logistics, environmental research, equipment tracking, and asset monitoring.

The TG-LR92 works with MikroTik LR9 LoRaWAN gateways such as KNOT LR9G kit, wAP LR9G kit, and wAP LR2 kit. Sensor data can also be visualized in monitoring platforms such as Grafana for temperature and humidity trends, orientation and activity states, environmental histograms, battery status, and signal strength.
