The MikroTik Wireless Wire (RBwAPG-60adkit) is a ready-to-deploy point-to-point wireless kit designed to act as a cable replacement solution. It bridges two locations over a 60 GHz wireless link, delivering genuine Gigabit speeds without the need to physically run Ethernet or fibre cabling between the two points.

Pre-Paired, Plug-and-Play Setup The kit includes two wAP 60G devices that are paired with each other at the factory. No configuration is required to establish the link — simply point the two units at each other, power them on, and the 1 Gbps full duplex connection is formed immediately. The simplicity of deployment is a key design goal of the Wireless Wire concept.

60 GHz Technology and Performance Operating in the 60 GHz band, the Wireless Wire is completely unaffected by the crowded 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi spectrum that typically causes interference in dense environments. The link supports 1 Gbps full duplex throughput and operates at distances of up to 200 metres. The wireless connection also works through most window materials, adding flexibility for indoor-to-outdoor and floor-to-floor deployments.

Security The 60 GHz link is secured with AES encryption, ensuring data transmitted over the wireless connection is protected.

Hardware Each wAP 60G unit in the kit is built around a Qualcomm IPQ-4019 quad-core ARM 32-bit processor running at 448–896 MHz (auto-scaling), with 256 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage. Each unit measures 185 × 85 × 30 mm and runs RouterOS Level 3, providing routing, firewall, and management capabilities at the CPE level.

Connectivity and Powering Each unit features a single 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port, which serves as both the network connection and the PoE input (802.3af/at, 12–57 V). A DC jack input (12–57 V) is also present for alternative powering. Maximum power consumption per unit is 5 W. Cooling is passive.

Enclosure and Environmental Rating Both units carry an IP55 weatherproof rating for permanent outdoor deployment. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C.

Included in the Kit The box contains two complete wAP 60G units with: 2× 24V 0.38A power adapters, 2× Gigabit PoE injectors, plastic zip ties, wAP desktop stands, wAP ceiling mount brackets, a metal ring, and a K-52 fastening set for wall and pole mounting options.
